Week 9 of the Wolverhampton Sunday Netball League delivered another fantastic evening of netball, with teams bringing energy, enthusiasm, and great teamwork to the court.
Blaze Ballers and Thunder Thighs kicked off the night with a fast-paced and physical contest, setting a strong tone for the rest of the evening. Wing-its and The Hotshots followed with a lively matchup that showcased sharp movement and confident play across the court.
One of the highlights of the night was the closely fought game between Dolly Mixtures and Phoenix Flyers, with both teams pushing each other right to the final moments in a thrilling and competitive encounter. The evening also saw Goal Diggers and Netbusters face off, with strong passages of play and great determination shown by both sides.
A special shoutout goes to Georgina Fletcher of Dolly Mixtures, who was named this week’s Most Valued Player. Her skill, composure, and leadership stood out and made a real impact on the court.
As the season continues, teams are building confidence, friendships, and momentum, making the Wolverhampton Sunday Netball League a brilliant place to play, compete, and have fun.
