Play in the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League

Week 6 of the Birmingham Tuesday social netball league took place at Waseley Hills High School, with four fixtures on the schedule and plenty of competitive netball throughout the evening. The league continues to bring together players with different levels of experience, with teams enjoying regular games in a friendly and social environment.

The first match of the evening saw Waseley Wizards take on Stormers in a closely contested game. Both teams worked hard throughout, with plenty of effort and good teamwork on display. Stormers managed to secure the win, finishing 12-10 ahead after a competitive match. Waseley Wizards continued to push until the final whistle, making it an entertaining start to the evening.

Next up were Goal Diggers and Spice Goals. Spice Goals had a strong game and finished with a 35-5 victory. Goal Diggers continued to work hard throughout the match, while Spice Goals were able to build their lead and convert their opportunities. Both teams played the game in the right spirit and showed good commitment throughout.

The third fixture saw Goals Of Glory face Pocket Rockets in another close contest. The two teams remained competitive throughout the game, with Goals Of Glory eventually coming away with a narrow 15-13 win. With just two goals separating the sides at the final whistle, it was a good example of how closely matched games can be in the league.

The final game of the evening saw Goals Aloud take on Hoop Troops. Hoop Troops finished with a 12-4 victory after a solid performance. Goals Aloud continued to work hard across the court, while Hoop Troops were able to create opportunities and maintain their lead throughout the match.

Our Most Valued Player of the week was Sharon Lewis from Goals Aloud. Sharon put in a strong performance during the evening, with her movement around the court, effort and teamwork standing out. She continued to work hard for her team and made a positive contribution throughout the game. Congratulations to Sharon on being named this week's MVP.

With Week 6 now complete, the Birmingham Tuesday league moves towards another evening of social netball at Waseley Hills High School. The league is part of Back to Netball and is designed to give women the opportunity to return to the sport, stay active, meet other local players and enjoy regular games in a friendly and supportive environment.

The league welcomes players with different levels of experience, whether they are returning to netball after a break or are newer to the sport. The focus is on enjoying the game, getting involved and developing skills while playing regularly with a local team.
