Play in the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League

Week 2 of the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League took place at Waseley Hills High School, with teams returning to the court for another enjoyable evening of social netball. Players of different experience levels came together to take part in a series of friendly but competitive matches, with plenty of teamwork, effort and positive play on display throughout the evening.

The first match saw Pocket Rockets take on Goal Diggers. Pocket Rockets secured a convincing 26-3 victory after a strong team performance. They worked well together across the court and made the most of their scoring opportunities throughout the game. Goal Diggers continued to work hard and showed good determination, supporting one another and maintaining a positive attitude until the final whistle.

Next, Hoop Troops faced Goals Of Glory. Goals Of Glory came away with a 24-4 win following an energetic and well-played match. Goals Of Glory showed good teamwork and movement throughout the game, while Hoop Troops continued to battle and worked hard to create opportunities. Both teams played in the friendly spirit of the league and contributed to another enjoyable match.

The third game of the evening saw Stormers play Goals Aloud. Stormers finished the match with a 12-3 victory after a solid team performance. Both teams showed commitment throughout the game, with players working hard in all areas of the court. Goals Aloud remained positive and continued to support one another, while Stormers took their chances well to secure the win.

The final match saw Waseley Wizards take on Spice Goals. Spice Goals secured a 15-10 victory in what was the closest game of the evening. Both teams competed well and kept the game competitive throughout. Waseley Wizards worked hard to stay in contention, while Spice Goals showed good teamwork and made the most of their opportunities to take the win.

Congratulations to this week’s Most Valued Player, Sarah McBride from Goal Diggers. Sarah was recognised for her enthusiasm, movement around the court and positive contribution to her team. Her efforts and attitude were appreciated throughout the evening, making her a deserving recipient of the award. Well done, Sarah.

As the league moves into Week 3, teams will be looking forward to another evening of enjoyable netball at Waseley Hills High School. The league continues to provide a welcoming and supportive environment where players can keep active, develop their netball skills, meet new people and enjoy playing in the spirit of Back to Netball.
