Play in the Birmingham Tuesday Netball League

Week 17 of the Birmingham Tuesday Netball League took place at Waseley Hills High School, with another evening of competitive and enjoyable social netball. As the season enters its closing stages, teams continue to compete for valuable league points while enjoying the friendly atmosphere that makes the league such a success.

The first match of the evening saw Hoop Troops take on Stormers. Stormers produced a strong all-round performance to secure a 16-4 victory, combining accurate shooting with solid defensive play. Hoop Troops continued to battle throughout the match, working hard as a team and creating several positive passages of play.

Next, Netbusters faced Waseley Wizards. Waseley Wizards controlled the game well and earned a 10-1 win with a disciplined performance across the court. Netbusters remained committed throughout the match, continuing to support one another and working hard until the final whistle.

The third fixture featured Spice Goals against Goal Diggers. Spice Goals were in excellent form, recording a 31-6 victory after an impressive attacking display. Goal Diggers never gave up despite the scoreline and continued to show great determination and teamwork throughout the game.

The final match of the evening saw Pocket Rockets take on Goals Aloud. Pocket Rockets finished the night with a convincing 20-1 victory, making the most of their scoring opportunities while defending well. Goals Aloud kept battling throughout the game and maintained a positive attitude from start to finish.

This week's Most Valued Player award goes to Charlotte Norman from Goals Aloud. Charlotte was recognised for her outstanding effort, movement around the court and positive attitude throughout the evening. Her encouragement of teammates and commitment during the match made her a deserving winner of this week's award.

With Week 17 complete, attention now turns to another exciting round of fixtures. As the season approaches its conclusion, every game provides another opportunity for teams to improve, enjoy competitive netball and spend time with friends in a welcoming environment. We look forward to seeing everyone back on court for Week 18.
