Birmingham Tuesday Netball League Gets the Season Underway

The new season of the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball league got off to a great start this week, with teams returning to the court for an evening of enjoyable and competitive matches. Players showed plenty of enthusiasm and teamwork as the season began to take shape.

In the League, Spice Goals made a strong start with an impressive 21-8 win against Goals of Glory. Their confident performance and consistent scoring helped them secure an early victory.

Waseley Wizards also enjoyed a positive start to the season, putting in a solid display to earn a 16-9 win over Goal Diggers. The team worked well across the court and made the most of their chances throughout the match.

Elsewhere, Stormers produced a determined performance to defeat Goals Aloud 13-8 in a competitive game where both teams showed good effort and teamwork.

In the final match of the evening, Pocket Rockets secured a 5-0 victory against Netbusters, maintaining control throughout the game.

One of the standout individual performances of the night came from Jasmine Smith of Hoop Troops, who was named Most Valuable Player of the week. Jasmine’s excellent work on court and positive impact during the games made her a deserving recipient of the award.

After the opening week, Spice Goals, Waseley Wizards, and Stormers have all made strong starts and will be looking to continue their momentum as the season progresses.

With such a promising start, the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball league looks set for another fun and competitive season, with plenty of exciting matches still to come.
