Leighton Buzzard Monday League – Week 8 Round-Up

Week 8 of the Leighton Buzzard Monday League brought another brilliant evening of social netball, with plenty of teamwork, encouragement, and great moments shared across the courts. From close finishes to confident performances, it was a fun and lively night for players and spectators alike.

Buzzard Ballers and Leightning Bolts kicked things off with an energetic match, ending in a 13–8 win for the Ballers. Both teams played with great determination, and the Bolts showed real resilience and positivity right through to the final whistle.

Kestrels enjoyed a strong outing against Don’t Be Leight, finishing with an 18–5 scoreline. Despite the result, Don’t Be Leight had a standout moment thanks to Imogen Angus, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week for her fantastic effort, attitude, and impact on the game 

Leight’s Get It took on Wildcats in another upbeat fixture, with Wildcats coming away with a 19–9 win. There was plenty of support and teamwork on display from both sides, making it an enjoyable match to watch.

The final game of the evening saw Net Ballsnatchers and Chasing Shadows share a closely fought and exciting contest. With just a single goal in it, Net Ballsnatchers edged ahead 13–12 in a game that had everyone cheering until the very end.

As week 8 wraps up, the Leighton Buzzard Monday League continues to be all about staying active, having fun, and enjoying netball in a welcoming and social environment. We can’t wait to see everyone back on court next week!
