“Strong Start to the Premier League Netball Season”

The new season of the Leighton Buzzard Monday Division 1 got underway last night, with teams making an early statement in the opening round of fixtures.

Buzzard Ballers started confidently, earning a 17–10 win over Don’t Be Leight. It was a solid team performance, but the standout player of the match came from the opposition. Daisy Stone of Don’t Be Leight impressed throughout with her skill and work rate, earning the week’s Most Valued Player recognition.

Net Ballsnatchers recorded the highest score of the evening, securing a 25–9 victory over the Kestrels. Their sharp shooting and organised play set the tone for the night.

Wildcats and Chasing Shadows delivered the closest contest, with Wildcats edging a tight game 10–8. Meanwhile, Leightning Bolts claimed a convincing 14–3 win against Leight’s Get It to round off the evening’s results.

With the first round complete, the season is off to a promising start. There’s plenty of netball still to be played, and it will be interesting to see how the table develops in the coming weeks.
