In a lively fifth week of the Leighton Buzzard Monday 7-a-side Netball League, the Premier League division enjoyed plenty of exciting and good-spirited action.
Net Ballsnatchers set the tone for the evening with a great team performance, taking a 29–8 win over Wildcats. Their smooth teamwork and smart play kept the energy high and the game enjoyable for everyone watching.
Leight's Get It and Kestrels treated spectators to a close, engaging match, with Leight's Get It taking it 6–2. Their determination shone through, and both teams put on a fantastic display.
Buzzard Ballers also enjoyed a strong outing against Chasing Shadows, finishing with a 16–3 win. Their quick passing and solid defensive work made for a fun, fast-paced game.
One of the closest matches of the night came from Don’t Be Leight and Leightning Bolts, with Don’t Be Leight just edging it 10–8. Both teams played with great spirit and skill, keeping things exciting right up to the final whistle.
A special shout-out goes to Emma McGarry from Leightning Bolts, who earned this week’s most valued player award. Her agility, accuracy and leadership really stood out—an impressive performance in a tight contest.
As we head into week six, the league is buzzing with friendly competition and plenty of anticipation. Every team is bringing great energy to the court, and there’s lots more fun netball still to come. Stay tuned for more highlights!
