On a delightful Thursday evening, Week 6 of the season saw social netball players of all experience levels gather once again at the Two Rivers High School. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the perfect setting for a fantastic evening of friendly competition, camaraderie, and collective love for the game of netball.

The first game of the night featured Division 1 teams, Rivers Tigers and River Chicks. Rivers Tigers held a high spirit, showcasing an unwavering commitment to the game while the River Chicks displayed stellar teamwork throughout the match. The game concluded with the River Chicks scoring 13 goals to Rivers Tigers' 10. Both teams exemplified great sportsmanship and positive energy, making it an enjoyable game for all involved.

Over in Division 2, Rivers Phoenix and River Hot Shots were up next. Despite the score ending at 18-4 in favour of Rivers Phoenix, both teams were beaming with energy and positivity. Every player on the court demonstrated commendable sportsmanship with a clear focus on fun rather than the result, reflecting the true essence of social netball.

Continuing the Division 2 matches, River Dancers and River Queens shared a lively game, with the River Dancers finishing with a score of 19-4. Later, an incredibly close game unfolded between River Sevens and Rivers Swimmers, finishing at 15-14 for River Sevens. Each game was a testament to the spirit of social netball – teamwork, commitment, and enjoyment.

A special mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the evening. Their enthusiasm was infectious, their movement around the court was impressive, and their positive contribution was appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike.

As another successful evening of social netball draws to a close, we look ahead to Week 7. We invite everyone to join us for another fantastic evening of keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment.
