An air of camaraderie filled the athletic grounds of Two Rivers High School this past week, as players and spectators gathered for an exhilarating opening evening of our Social Netball Season. With the welcoming atmosphere buzzing and a mix of seasoned and budding netball enthusiasts, Week 1 saw an amalgamation of sportsmanship, positive energy, and sheer fun.

In the Division 1 group, the friendly match between River Alliance and River Unity was a joy to behold. Both teams brought their A-game, with River Unity finishing the game at a score of 16, while River Alliance wasn't far behind with a score of 13. Amidst cheers and applause, the spirit of teamwork and commitment from both sides was palpable, setting a great example for the rest of the season.

In the Division 2 group, we saw exciting games played out with equal fervor. River Sevens and River Rapids showed admirable teamwork and camaraderie, finishing at 16 and 10 respectively. The friendly match between Rivers Swimmers and River Queens was a lively one, with the former team finishing at a score of 18 and the latter at 2. The game between River Hot Shots and River Dancers was equally enjoyable, ending at 10 and 4 respectively. All teams exuded positive energy, playing fun-filled games in the true spirit of netball.

A special mention goes to our Most Valued Player of the evening. Their enthusiasm and movement around the court was nothing short of infectious. Their positive contributions were greatly appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, making them a true embodiment of the friendly competition.

Looking ahead to Week 2, we are excited to see another evening of friendly social netball. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and develop netball skills in a supportive environment. As we've just started the season, we extend a warm welcome to players getting back into netball. Let's carry forward this spirit of camaraderie, inclusivity, and fun into our next evening of social netball. Here's to another week of great sportsmanship and enjoyable games!
