Last Thursday evening brought with it Week 12 of our social netball season at Two Rivers High School. With a welcoming atmosphere and players of all experience levels, the evening was filled with enthusiasm, camaraderie, and a shared love for the game. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying a great night of netball, demonstrating the power of sport in bringing communities together.
In the Division 1 group, the game between River Blacks and River Alliance was a display of strong teamwork and high spirits. River Alliance finished with a score of 27-9, their commitment and sportsmanship shining throughout the match. The evening progressed with an energetic game between River Riders and River Unity, concluding with a score of 23-17 to River Unity. The enthusiasm and positive energy on the court were commendable. The match between Rivers Divas and Rivers Phoenix was filled with laughter and mutual respect, with Rivers Divas securing a score of 20-12.
The Division 2 matches were equally enjoyable and heartwarming. River Chicks and River Sevens played a fun and engaging game, with River Chicks finishing on a score of 17-12. River Queens and River Golds took to the court with incredible energy, ending in a score of 12-2 favouring River Golds. Lastly, River Dancers and River Hot Shots closed the evening with an exciting match, the Hot Shots securing a score of 17-11.
A special mention goes out to the Most Valued Player of the week, Christina Wallace from River Queens. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court were striking, making a positive contribution that was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 13, we encourage everyone to join us for another evening of friendly social netball. With only two weeks of matches left this season, it's the perfect time to get involved, keep active, meet new people, and develop your netball skills in a supportive environment. Whether you're an experienced player or just thinking about trying it out, our community club welcomes you with open arms.
