With a backdrop of camaraderie and cheery chatter, an enjoyable evening of social netball unfolded at Two Rivers High School. It marked the delightful ninth week of the season that brought together a diverse set of players celebrating their shared love for netball. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy and excitement, creating an inclusive environment that engaged players from all walks of life and different levels of experience.
The first match of the Division 1 group saw Alliance and Rivers Swimmers displaying their netball prowess. The game ended with Alliance securing 22 goals to Rivers Swimmers' 6. The game was a showcase of dedication, sportsmanship, and the positive vibes that encapsulated the essence of the evening.
In another thrilling match of the evening, Unity and Rivers Phoenix demonstrated a great deal of teamwork and commitment. Unity concluded the game with an impressive score of 23, while Rivers Phoenix added 1 to their tally. It was indeed a game played in great spirit, full of laughter and enjoyment.
River Blacks and Rivers Divas put up a riveting performance. Both teams displayed immense energy and enthusiasm throughout the match. River Blacks ended the game scoring 19, while Rivers Divas were close behind with 16.
In a match that combined skill and sportsmanship, River Riders and River Warriors displayed a great game. With River Riders ending the game on a high note with 27, River Warriors contributed an impressive 18 to the final scoreline.
The Division 2 match was no less captivating. River Sevens and River Hot Shots kept everyone on their toes as they played their hearts out, culminating in a score of 10-5 in favor of River Sevens.
A special mention must be made of our Most Valued Player of the week, Kimberley Smith from River Blacks. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her swift movement around the court did not go unnoticed. Kimberley's positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, making her a standout player of this week.
