What an enjoyable evening it was at Two Rivers High School, as Week 5 of our social netball unfolded under the stadium lights. The atmosphere was amicable and invigorating, with players of all experience levels relishing a great night of netball. The camaraderie was infectious, the play was spirited, and the teamwork was inspiring.
In the first match of the evening, Alliance and River Blacks shared the court. The game culminated in a score of 20-13 in favor of Alliance. With an array of skillful passes and interceptions, both teams displayed formidable teamwork and commitment. The positive energy on the court made this match an enjoyable spectacle for all.
The court then saw Unity and River Riders compete in a friendly duel. Unity concluded the game with a heart-warming score of 25-6. Despite the scoreline, the game was played in great spirits, showcasing the sportsmanship integral to our club's ethos.
Rivers Swimmers and River Warriors battled next. A score of 10-7 in favor of River Warriors highlighted the close-knit match. It was a testament to the friendly rivalry that the game was played in high spirits with both teams demonstrating immense commitment and positive energy.
In Division 2, River Sevens and River Chicks took to the court. The game ended with a score of 15-2 in favor of River Sevens. The close encounter was marked by excellent teamwork, which was an absolute joy to witness.
River Hot Shots and River Dancers were up next. The game finished with an impressive 15-11 scoreline in favor of River Hot Shots. The teams demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, maintaining the friendly atmosphere throughout the game.
A special mention goes to Emily White from River Hot Shots, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court didn't go unnoticed. Emily's positive contributions were greatly appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, embodying the true spirit of social netball.
We're excitedly looking forward to Week 6, as another evening of friendly social netball awaits us. This is a wonderful opportunity for keeping active, meeting new people, and developing your netball skills in a supportive environment.
