Tamworth Thursday Night - Week 7
In Division 1, the River Warriors clashed with the River Hot Shots in a tense game that saw the latter edge out with a narrow 14-13 victory. Not far off, Rivers Divas and River Riders delivered a nail-biter, where the Riders overpowered the Divas with a slim 19-17 win. In a surprising turn of events, the Rivers Phoenix rose above their competition, the Rivers Swimmers, beating them 11-9.
Switching gears to Division 2, the River Dancers were unable to keep pace with the River Blacks, falling 18-8. The River Chicks showcased their prowess with an impressive 29-5 win against River Cruisers. In an extremely close match, the River Rapids were just short of a victory, losing to River Sevens by a razor-thin margin, 9-8.
The star of the week, without a doubt, was the phenomenal Katy Phillips from Rivers Swimmers. Despite her team's loss, Phillips' outstanding performance on the court earned her the Most Valued Player award for the week, proving that individual brilliance can shine, even in defeat.
