In the League, a number of electrifying games were played. River Hot Shots showcased their dominant form against River Saints with a thumping 19-6 victory. The River Chicks also made an impressive debut, swooping in with a 16-5 victory over Rivers Swimmers.

The most significant margin of the evening came from Rivers Phoenix, who ascended from the ashes of pre-season expectations to extinguish River Sevens 24-10. It was a stellar performance that really set the bar for the season.

River Riders trotted out ahead of Rivers Divas in a more closely contested match, ending the game with a 17-13 score that left spectators on the edge of their seats. River Warriors also made their mark, defeating River Hoops 15-5, in a game that promised a thrilling season ahead for the Warriors.

Standout performances were seen across the board, but none shone brighter than Becky Dudley of River Saints. Despite their loss, Dudley's performance was exceptional, earning her the title of 'Most Valued Player' for the week.
