In an electrifying week 13 of the Tamworth Thursday netball league, the League witnessed some heart-pounding clashes, spectacular plays, and exceptional performances.
The River Riders truly dominated their encounter against the River Chicks, conquering the court with a 22-10 result. Demonstrating their impressive scoring prowess and cohesive team play, they set the bar high for the evening's games.
Despite an ardent effort from the River Sevens, the River Hoops secured their victory with a 16-5 score, further solidifying their position in the league.
Meanwhile, in an unexpected turn of events, the River Warriors fell to the River Hot Shots, with a 27-12 defeat. Hot Shots' explosive performance exposed the chinks in Warriors' armour, causing quite a stir in the division.
The Rivers Divas, however, stole the show with a 27-3 victory over the Rivers Swimmers. The Divas' staggering offensive power left the Swimmers struggling to keep up.
In another gripping match, the Rivers Phoenix rose up against the River Rapids, pulling off a satisfying 15-7 win. Their fiery performance underlined the competitive spirit of the league, making it a match to remember.
However, amidst the high-octane clashes and thrilling victories, it was Tamara Henney from the Rivers Swimmers who stole the spotlight, earning the Most Valued Player of the week title. Despite her team's loss, Henney's individual brilliance shone through, reminding us all of the impact one player can have on the court.
As we move forward into the next week of the League, we celebrate the top scorers: the River Riders and Rivers Divas, and eagerly anticipate the next round of thrilling netball action.
