The first week of the Tamworth Thursday Netball League concluded last night, setting the stage for an electrifying season to come. Both Division 1 and Division 2 began their season with high-stakes matches and heart-pumping action.
In Division 1, the River Hot Shots outgunned the Rivers Swimmers with a final score of 14 to 9, displaying their exemplary shooting prowess and quick footwork. Meanwhile, the Rivers Phoenix edged out a close victory over the River Riders, triumphing 18 to 15 in a fierce match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
However, the highlight of the night came from the Rivers Divas, who overwhelmed the River Warriors with a score of 28 to 7. Their exceptional performance, marked by their strategic play and unyielding defense, made them the highest-scoring team for the week across both divisions.
Division 2 fixtures will be re played on the 12th February and will be worth double points in place of yesterdays fixtures.
