In a thrilling conclusion to the season, the Redditch Tuesday Netball league saw local favourites, Betty's Comets, sweep to victory in the League division last night. It marked the end of ten weeks of fierce competition in one of the most eagerly contested seasons in recent years.
Betty's Comets were unstoppable in their final match against Ball Hoggers, with a commanding score of 26-9. This victory solidified their place at the top of the League with an impressive total of 18 points and 9 wins. It was a showcase of top-notch teamwork and strategy, and a testament to their consistent performance throughout the season.
Goal Divas didn't lag far behind, with a 27-8 victory over The Tenacious 7. Their attacking game was second to none, with a strong defence that The Tenacious 7 couldn't break through.
The Redditch Rockets and Rebels match was a closer affair, with the Rebels emerging victorious with a 16-12 win. Despite not clinching the win, the Rockets had a standout performer in Jenna Read, who was named the most valued player of the week. Her tenacity, skill, and leadership were truly commendable, making her an integral part of the Rockets' journey this season.
It's been an exhilarating season for the League, with some of the highest levels of competition seen in the Redditch Tuesday Netball League.
