Alfreton Monday Social Netball Update 25th March

Another excellent evening in our Alfreton Monday Social Netball league with all teams in attendance and everything running relatively smoothly. The only issue we are having is due to erratic play meaning, that there are certain players treating the netball as a hot potato and playing way too quickly. This is usually followed by injuries, so please can we slow the play down as 3 seconds is quite a long time to play the ball. We have instructed our umpires to stop the game if play is too fast and ask all players to take more care.

The league itself saw Passalona, despite a valiant effort in their match against Panthers, fall short with a final score of 2-13. Panthers' determination and skill were too much for Passalona to handle, leading to their defeat. However, Passalona's Laura Housley was a standout player for the week, earning the title of Most Valued Player. Housley showed determination and skill throughout the game, proving her worth on the court.

In another closely contested match, Wild Ones faced off against Flaming Divas, with the latter taking the win with a score of 9-7. Both teams showcased exceptional skills and teamwork, and it was a tough loss for the Wild Ones, who fought hard until the last whistle.

Raggydolls and Allstars provided another nail-biting match, with Raggydolls clinching a narrow victory with a score of 5-4.

The Tibshelf Tigers took on Time To Shine this week and emerged victorious with a scoreline of 9-2. Despite the loss, the Tigers showed a resilient spirit and will undoubtedly bounce back in their upcoming games.
