Alfreton Monday Social Netball Update 13th May

The latest round of matches in the Alfreton Monday Social Netball League brought excitement and competitive spirit to the court.

We did have a few questions regarding the input of car registrations on to the system at the venue. We have spoken to the venue and although they say it is best to input your car registration regardless, no charges apply after 4.30pm during the week as it is mainly in place to stop daytime parking.

In the league we saw Time To Shine take on Tibshelf Tigers. In a closely fought battle, Tibshelf Tigers edged out a 7-6 win. Sophie Steele from Time To Shine earned the Player of the Match award for her exceptional play. This victory was particularly significant for Tibshelf Tigers as it marked their first win in the league since they joined in January. The team has shown steady improvement and resilience, and their perseverance finally paid off with this well-deserved victory.

Allstars face off against the Raggydolls, securing a solid 13-5 victory. Despite the loss, Elizabeth Reed from the Raggydolls earned the Player of the Match accolade for her outstanding performance and relentless effort throughout the game.

In a thrilling encounter, the Flaming Divas narrowly lost to the Wild Ones with a final score of 10-11. Maisie Mackrell from the Flaming Divas was a standout player, delivering an exceptional performance that kept the game tightly contested until the very end. This match was a nail-biter, with both teams demonstrating remarkable determination and skill.

The Panthers went up against Passalona in another engaging match. Passalona emerged victorious with an 11-5 win. Sammy Lakin from the Panthers was named Player of the Match for her impressive display on the court, contributing significantly to her team’s efforts.

Congratulations to all teams for their competitive spirit and to Tibshelf Tigers for their milestone win. The league continues to provide a fantastic platform for friendly competition and community engagement, with every match bringing its own unique excitement.
