Netball Returns to Alfreton with a Positive Start to the Season

Netball fans were delighted to see the new season get underway as the Alfreton Monday netball league began with an enjoyable and competitive evening. With a great atmosphere on and off the court, players showed enthusiasm and teamwork throughout, giving supporters plenty to smile about.

In the league, the opening match featured Time To Shine against Netty McNet Face. It was a strong start for Netty McNet Face, who secured an 8–1 win. While early days, the result offers a promising foundation for the weeks ahead.

A special mention goes to Izzie Peall from Raggydolls, who earned this week’s Most Valued Player award. Although not involved in that particular match, her performance stood out, reflecting great effort, skill, and commitment.

With the season just beginning, there’s plenty of opportunity for every team to grow and enjoy their netball. It will be exciting to see how things develop over the coming weeks as players settle into their rhythm and the competition unfolds.
