It was another great evening of netball in week three of the Premier League at the Leigh Thursday league, with plenty of energy, teamwork and competitive spirit on show across all four matches.
The night began with Hawks taking on Court Confidence. Hawks came away with a 23–5 win, showing some sharp passing and strong defensive play. Court Confidence kept battling throughout and showed real determination, with moments of promise they’ll be looking to build on next week.
Next up, Better Leight Than Never secured an 11–6 victory over All The Gear No Idea in a well-contested game. Both sides worked hard across the court, but Better Leight Than Never just edged ahead thanks to their consistency and teamwork.
Dolce Vita also put in a strong performance, earning a 26–2 win against Drop It Like It’s Hot. While the scoreline was convincing, Drop It Like It’s Hot kept their heads up and continued to push forward, showing great attitude and resilience right to the final whistle.
In the final match of the evening, No Bib Deal claimed a solid 16–8 win over Play It Smart. It was a good display of organisation and game management, with both teams contributing to an enjoyable, competitive fixture.
Across all games, the effort, encouragement and sportsmanship on display made for a really positive atmosphere around the courts.
A special mention goes to Laura Brockway of All The Gear No Idea, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Her performance stood out for its energy and commitment, even in a tough match.
With three weeks played, the Premier League is shaping up nicely, and there’s plenty more exciting netball to come as teams continue to develop and climb the table.
