The Swadlincote Wednesday Netball League got off to a fantastic start this week, with teams taking to the court for an evening full of energy, teamwork, and great netball.

Players across the league showed strong skills and determination, setting a positive tone for the season ahead. There were some closely fought games, plenty of exciting moments, and lots of smiles as teams settled into the new campaign.

A big shout-out goes to Emma Shorthouse from Hoop Hustlers, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Her standout performance and positive impact on court were great to see and a real highlight of the evening.

It was brilliant to see teams supporting one another and enjoying competitive but friendly matches, which is exactly what the Swadlincote Wednesday league is all about. With the first week done, there’s plenty to look forward to as the season continues and teams grow in confidence each week.
