Week 10 marked an exciting finale to the Swadlincote Wednesday Netball League, wrapping up a brilliant season full of energy, teamwork, and competitive fun. The final night had a real buzz around it, with teams giving everything right to the very end.

Block And Shot and Pink Stars went head-to-head in a closely fought match that kept everyone guessing until the final whistle. Both teams showed great determination, with Pink Stars just managing to edge ahead in a tense and entertaining contest.

Wildcats took on Hoopsie Daisy in another lively game, with Hoopsie Daisy putting in a confident and composed performance. Their smooth passing and strong team connection made for a great match to watch.

One of the standout games of the night saw Get The Rebound face Hoops I Did It Again. It was a hard-fought battle, with both sides showing resilience and grit before Get The Rebound came out on top after a thrilling contest.

Despite that result, Hoops I Did It Again had plenty to celebrate as they finished the season as overall league winners. Their consistency, teamwork, and commitment throughout the season earned them the top spot and a well-deserved trophy.

A special mention goes to Lily Draper of Block And Shot, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Lily’s standout performances across the season, and especially in the final week, made a big impact and perfectly captured the competitive spirit of the league.

As the season comes to a close, everyone involved can look back on weeks of fantastic netball, great sportsmanship, and plenty of memorable moments. After a well-earned rest, we’re already looking forward to welcoming teams back for more fun and exciting netball very soon.
