The Burton-on-Trent Sunday Netball League got off to a brilliant start this week, with lots of great netball, supportive sidelines and plenty of smiles all round as the new season kicked off.

Usual Chaos made an early statement with an impressive 21–3 win over Amazeballs, showing strong teamwork and confident shooting in their opening match.

There was a real nail-biter between Untouchables and Goal Diggers, with the teams finishing all square at 11–11. Both sides worked hard in defence and kept the game exciting right to the final whistle.

Odd Balls edged out Hoopz in a closely contested 11–8 win, while Netball Ninjas battled hard to secure a 12–7 victory over Hotshots in another competitive match of the night.

A big shout-out goes to Rena Khanom from Netball Ninjas, who was named Player of the Week after a fantastic performance on court. Her energy, movement and leadership made a real difference for her team.

It was a great opening week for the Burton-on-Trent Sunday Netball League, and with the season now underway, there’s plenty more exciting netball to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
