Leicester Wednesday Social Netball Update 20th August
In a gripping turn of events, the second week of the Leicester Wednesday Social Netball League brought about intense games this week.
This week we saw the clash of the titans as Nets Top Models faced off against Shooting Stars. The Shooting Stars proved their dominance on the court by securing a remarkable 22-11 victory over their rivals. Their dazzling performance and pinpoint accuracy have set the bar high for the rest of the league.
However, the real surprise of the week came when the Natterjacks met with The Allsorts in a hotly contested match. In a showcase of sheer skill and teamwork, the Natterjacks scored a superb victory, defeating The Allsorts with a staggering 24-1 final score.
On another front, Wreake Havoc had a tough game against The Foxes, ultimately falling 13-8 in a match where every goal created waves of anticipation.
Yet amidst these high-stakes matches, one player who stood out was Shilpa Kakad from The Allsorts. Despite the team's loss, Kakad's brilliant on-court performance and sportsmanship have earned her the title of Most Valued Player for the week. Her incredible skill, determination, and strategic gameplay were a sight to behold and clearly set her apart.
