The Leicester Wednesday Netball league kicked off its first week with electrifying energy and fierce competition. As the new season unveils, each team is battling for supremacy, aiming to set the tone for the rest of the season.

The Amazeballs stormed the court with a thrilling victory over Wreake Havoc, marking a 17-9 win. The Foxes emerged victorious over the Natterjacks in a nail-biting clash, finishing strong at 16-12. However, the spotlight of the week was stolen by Nets Top Models, who came away with a 16-2 win over The Allsorts. Shooting Stars also left their mark on the first week of the season, outshining the Seagrave Squirrels with a 21-5 victory. 

The star player of the week was Anna Southam from The Allsorts. Despite the team's defeat, Southam's performance on the court was noteworthy, her performance has not gone unnoticed and has earned her the title of the most valued player of the week.

As the week concludes, it's clear that the League is off to an exciting start to the season. The upcoming weeks promise more intense battles, brilliant plays, and exceptional performances. This season is one to watch!
