Leicester Wednesday Netball Update 21st January

In a thrilling night of sporting action, the Leicester Wednesday Netball saw a great competition unfold as we reached week 8 in the season. The battle for supremacy took place with four nail-biting matches making this an unforgettable week in the season.

Natterjacks and The Allsorts went head to head in an adrenaline-pumping face-off. It was a tight contest, but Natterjacks emerged victorious, edging out The Allsorts by a single point with a score of 16-15. This marked a significant victory for Natterjacks, showcasing their resilience and determination.

Meanwhile, Shooting Stars displayed an inspiring performance, dominating Wreake Havoc with a scoreline of 26-7.  Despite the loss, Wreake Havoc's Kate Pizer put on a show in the face of adversity and was subsequently crowned the Most Valued Player of the week. Pizer's outstanding play exemplified the spirit of the sport, proving that individual brilliance can shine even in defeat.

In another neck-to-neck clash, Nets Top Models narrowly defeated Seagrave Squirrels 11-10, in what was undeniably a nerve-wracking match for both teams. 

Our two new teams Court Queens and Give Us A Shot went head-to-head, with the former winning 6-3.

The Leicester Wednesday Netball continues to delight fans with its competitive spirit, nail-biting finishes and individual brilliance. As we enter the later stages of the season, the race for the top spot is heating up, making every point as crucial as ever.
