The second week of the Leicester Wednesday Netball brought another evening of competitive and enjoyable matches, with teams continuing to find their rhythm and build momentum. With four games played, each team had the chance to show their strengths on court.
The evening began with Give Us A Shot taking on Birstall Bluebirds. Birstall Bluebirds came away with a 13–6 win, putting in a steady performance and making good use of their attacking opportunities. Give Us A Shot showed plenty of effort and will be looking to build on this in the coming weeks.
Natterjacks faced Seagrave Squirrels in a closely contested match, with the Squirrels edging ahead to secure a 15–11 victory. Both teams played with determination, but Seagrave Squirrels managed to make the most of their chances.
Shooting Stars delivered a strong performance against Nets Top Models, finishing with a 20–8 win. Despite the result, Aruna Ubhi of Nets Top Models stood out with an impressive individual performance, earning Most Valued Player for her impact and effort throughout the game.
The final match between Wreake Havoc and The Allsorts was a competitive encounter, with The Allsorts securing a 21–17 win. Wreake Havoc kept the pressure on, but The Allsorts maintained their lead to the final whistle.
With the season still in its early stages, there is plenty of time for teams to develop and improve. The coming weeks promise more competitive matches as everyone continues to grow and enjoy the night.
