In an exhilarating night of netball, Leicester Wednesday's night netball reached the midway point of its season with week 7 witnessing some thrilling matches.
The first two matches of the evening saw our new teams take to the court.
Seagrave Squirrels showcased their impeccable shooting skills, securing a 16-1 triumph over Give Us A Shot. Despite the loss, Give Us A Shot did not let the defeat dampen their spirits, with Laura Andrews putting up a brave front and earning the title of the most valued player of the week.
In another exciting match, we saw Natterjacks defeat Court Queens with a 19-2 victory. Showing an excellent display of teamwork and precision, Natterjacks exhibited some top-tier netball that left spectators in awe.
The Shooting Stars and Nets Top Models clashed in a nail-biting showdown that ended in a narrow 10-9 win for Stars. The energy and determination displayed by both teams were commendable, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats throughout the game.
The Allsorts also claimed victory, defeating Wreake Havoc 17-6 in a game that was a true testament to their skill and coordination. The Allsorts were relentless on the court, displaying a strong defensive game that was instrumental in their win.
With week 7 wrapped up, the scores have reshuffled the standings, injecting more excitement into the upcoming fixtures. The MVP, Laura Andrews, despite her team's loss, emerged as a beacon of resilience and determination, setting a remarkable example for her peers.
