Week seven of the Tewkesbury Sunday netball league delivered another exciting evening of competitive action, with teams across the League continuing to impress with their teamwork, determination, and quality on court. As the season progresses, the competition remains incredibly close, and this week’s fixtures once again provided plenty of entertainment for players and spectators alike.

The atmosphere throughout the evening reflected the positive spirit of the League, with every team showing excellent commitment and sportsmanship across two closely contested matches. With valuable points on the line and teams eager to continue building momentum, both fixtures were played with great intensity from start to finish.

The opening game of the night saw Super Troupers take on Voulez-Vous in a thrilling encounter that ended in a hard-fought 10-10 draw. Both teams produced excellent passages of play throughout the match, demonstrating strong attacking movement and disciplined defending. Neither side was willing to give ground, resulting in a highly competitive contest that remained evenly balanced until the final whistle.

Super Troupers showed excellent composure in attack and worked tirelessly across the court, while Voulez-Vous matched them every step of the way with strong teamwork and resilience. The draw was a fair reflection of the effort and quality shown by both teams, who each demonstrated why they continue to be strong competitors within the League.

The second fixture of the evening saw Winner Takes It All face Gimme! The Ball in another entertaining contest. Winner Takes It All secured a narrow 12-9 victory after a strong all-round performance that combined organised defending with confident attacking play. Their ability to take key opportunities at important moments helped them maintain their advantage and secure another valuable result.

Gimme! The Ball continued to battle throughout the game and produced an excellent performance despite the final scoreline. Their determination and positive attitude ensured the match remained competitive throughout, with both teams contributing to an enjoyable and closely fought contest.

A special mention this week goes to Henrietta Rutgers from Gimme! The Ball, who was deservedly named the week’s Most Valued Player. Henrietta delivered an outstanding individual performance and impressed with her movement, composure, and influence around the court. Her effort, skill, and commitment throughout the game stood out across the evening, making her a worthy recipient of the award.

As week seven comes to a close, the Tewkesbury Sunday netball league continues to provide a fantastic environment for players to enjoy competitive and social netball each week. The standard of play across the League remains high, with teams continuing to improve and produce exciting matches filled with energy and enthusiasm.
