Title: Exciting Week Six Action Continues in the Tewkesbury Sunday Netball League

Another enjoyable evening of netball took place this week as teams returned to the court for week six of the Tewkesbury Sunday Netball League. With the season continuing to gather momentum, players once again produced a fantastic display of teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit across all matches.

Each week the League continues to provide an excellent atmosphere for players of all abilities, combining friendly competition with plenty of exciting moments on court. Week six proved no different, with strong performances, impressive teamwork, and several standout individual displays helping to make it another entertaining round of fixtures.

One of the evening’s matches saw Gimme! The Ball take on Super Troupers in a lively contest. Gimme! The Ball produced a confident and organised performance throughout the game, eventually securing an 18-4 victory. Their movement across the court and ability to create scoring opportunities helped them maintain control for large periods of the match, while strong defensive pressure limited chances for the opposition.

Super Troupers continued to battle throughout the game and showed great commitment despite facing a difficult challenge. The team remained positive and worked hard from start to finish, demonstrating the determination and teamwork that have become an important part of the League this season.

Another exciting fixture saw Dancing Queens face Voulez-Vous in a competitive encounter. Dancing Queens delivered an excellent all-round team performance to earn a 15-6 win, combining accurate shooting with disciplined defending and effective passing through the court. Their communication and consistency played a key role in helping them secure another strong result.

Voulez-Vous also showed plenty of effort and resilience during the match, continuing to compete right until the final whistle. Their positive attitude and teamwork reflected the supportive spirit that continues to make the Tewkesbury Sunday Netball League such an enjoyable competition for everyone involved.

While there were several impressive team performances across the evening, special recognition goes to Catherine McGirr from Super Troupers, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Catherine stood out with her hard work, determination, and positive influence on the court throughout the match. Her movement, defensive effort, and overall contribution were excellent, making her a deserving recipient of the award despite her side’s result.

One of the highlights of the League this season has been the commitment shown by all teams week after week. Players continue to support one another, compete in the right spirit, and create an encouraging environment both on and off the court. The balance between competitiveness and enjoyment has helped make the League a great experience for everyone taking part.

As the season progresses, teams will now be looking to build momentum and continue improving heading into the next round of fixtures. With several exciting matches still to come, there is plenty to play for as teams aim to finish the season strongly.

Well done to all players and teams who took part this week, and congratulations once again to Gimme! The Ball, Dancing Queens, and Most Valued Player Catherine McGirr for their standout performances.
