As the curtains draw on another thrilling season, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Dancing Queens, this season’s charming winners of the Tewkesbury league! Their hard work and dedication truly paid off, and we also want to extend a big cheer to the runners-up, Winner Takes It All, for their impressive performance throughout the season. A special highlight was Kym Dougan, who has been recognized as this season’s Most Valued Player in the Tewkesbury league—a testament to her skill and sportsmanship!

The final week of the Tewkesbury Sunday netball league was a delightful culmination of all the excitement that this season has brought. Fans and players alike gathered to watch the nail-biting matches that showcased the very best of our community’s talent. The atmosphere was electric, with supporters cheering from the sidelines as our players gave their all on the court.

In a phenomenal display of teamwork and determination, the Dancing Queens truly took the league by storm this season. With a remarkable finish of 18 points, they secured an impressive 9 wins, standing out as a formidable force in the league. One of the highlights of their season was the competitive encounter against Winner Takes It All. In a match that kept everyone on the edge of their seats, the Dancing Queens emerged victorious with a close score of 16-14. Their combination of strategy, resilience, and exquisite teamwork was evident, making it clear why they deserve the championship title.

Another standout performance this week came from Rosie Harris of Super Troupers, who was celebrated not just for her skills on the court, but also for her exemplary sportsmanship. Her ability to inspire and lift her teammates was a joy to witness, and being named the Most Valued Player of the week was a well-deserved recognition of her contributions to the game.

The match between Voulez-Vous and Gimme! The Ball was yet another highlight of the final week. This exciting contest was a classic display of sporting spirit and skill. Gimme! The Ball managed to edge out Voulez-Vous with a score of 15-11, providing fans with a thrilling match that was truly memorable.
