In a thrilling turn of events in the Shrewsbury Sunday Netball League's fifth week, the League witnessed some intense battles on the court. The scores were tight, and the players' competitive spirit was all too evident, making it a nail-biting experience for both the participants and the spectators alike.
In the League, the Severn Sisters clashed with Shrew D'you Think You Are? Despite a gallant effort from the Sisters, it was Shrew D'you Think You Are? who triumphed with a score of 8 against the Sisters' 5. However, this loss didn't dim the star of the Sisters. The team's valiant player, Kirsty Wigley, shone brightly and was crowned as the most valued player of the week.
Meanwhile, Quarry Queens faced off against Snooze You Shrews in a riveting match-up. In a match where every pass counted, Snooze You Shrews outplayed the Quarry Queens and emerged victoriously with a 10-6 win.
Despite the intense competition, the league's camaraderie and sportsmanship were palpable, with teams congratulating each other post-match and cheering for their rivals during play.
As we move into the sixth week of the season, the players' determination and dedication will undoubtedly continue to make the Shrewsbury Sunday Netball League a must-watch event. The top scorers in each division are eagerly looking forward to maintaining their lead and the rest are ready to give them a tough fight.
