Play in the Stratford-upon-avon Sunday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

It was a delightful inaugural week of the social netball season at the Stratford Leisure Centre. Players of all skill levels came together to celebrate the camaraderie and sportsmanship that is the essence of our beloved sport. The atmosphere was electric, with the echoing sounds of laughter and cheers filling the air, as teams from the Division 1 group participated in an evening of fun, friendly matches.

In the first match of the evening, the Court Queens showcased their teamwork and dedication, finishing the game with a score of 21-11 against Get The Rebound. This was a game filled with positive energy, both teams demonstrating the true netball spirit, making it an enjoyable experience for all.

The second match saw the Rogue Angels and the Goal Diggers share the court. The Rogue Angels secured a 12-5 scoreline, showing excellent commitment and sportsmanship in a game played with great cheerfulness and enthusiasm.

The third match brought together the Golden Eagles and Stratford Darlings, with the latter ending the game on an 18-7 score. The game was a splendid demonstration of netball, with both teams appreciating the friendly competition and the teamwork displayed.

Lastly, the Girls Of Glory took on the Star Hoops, and finished the game on a high note with a score of 12-3. This match was a testament to the spirit of social netball - mutual respect, hard work, and a whole lot of fun.

A special mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the evening, whose unerring enthusiasm and nimble movement around the court brought great value to the games. Their positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, a testament to the spirit of social netball.

As we look ahead to Week 2, we anticipate another fantastic evening of netball. It's more than just about keeping active and meeting new people, it's about developing our skills in a supportive environment, whilst having an absolute ball of a time. The season has only just begun, and we extend a warm welcome to all players getting back to netball. So, come and join us for another round of friendly competition and camaraderie next week.
