Play in the Stratford-upon-avon Sunday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

What a fantastic evening of social netball we had at Stratford Leisure Centre! It was Week 14 of the season and it was heartening to see players varying in experience levels, from beginners to seasoned experts, all enjoying a great night of netball. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and brimming with a sense of camaraderie that only sport can offer.

Our first match of the evening was between Stratford Darlings and Goal Diggers. The game ended with Goal Diggers marking a score of 14, while Stratford Darlings were not far behind with 11 points. Both teams showcased commendable teamwork, positive energy, and a commitment to the sport that was admirable, making it a thoroughly enjoyable game played in great spirit.

The second game saw Star Hoops and Court Queens face off against each other. Court Queens ended the game with a score of 20, with Star Hoops securing 11 points. The commitment and sportsmanship of both teams were a testament to the friendly environment we encourage here at our social netball evenings.

Rogue Angels and Get The Rebound were next, with Rogue Angels finishing their game with a score of 16 against the 13 points scored by Get the Rebound. It was a delight to see the enthusiasm of both teams and the way they upheld the spirit of the game, reinforcing the mutual respect all our players share.

Our Most Valued Player of the week was Christina Murphy from Star Hoops. Christina's constant enthusiasm, swift movement around the court and overall positive contribution did not go unnoticed by her teammates and opponents. Her performance is a shining example of what our social netball evenings are all about.

As we look ahead to Week 15, we can't wait for another evening of friendly social netball. It's not just about keeping active and meeting new people, but also about developing our netball skills in a supportive environment. And as the final week of the season approaches, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants and give a warm mention to our leading teams in the Division 1 group who have truly embodied the friendly, supportive spirit of our club.

So let's look forward to another week of camaraderie, skills-building, and most importantly, fun with netball. See you all next week!
