Play in the Stratford-upon-avon Sunday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

What a delightful evening it was at Stratford Leisure Centre for Week 8 of our social netball season! The hall was humming with friendly chatter and laughter as players of all experience levels laced up their trainers, ready for an evening full of energetic games, skillful plays, and tremendous camaraderie.

Our first match of the evening saw Girls Of Glory and Goal Diggers take to the court. The game finished with Girls Of Glory tallying up a score of 13-3. The warm spirit of sportsmanship was quite evident as both teams played with unyielding commitment and a positive energy that was truly infectious.

Next up, Golden Eagles and Get The Rebound shared a lively game, with Golden Eagles recording a final score of 23-7. It was heartening to witness the level of teamwork between players, their sheer determination, and the joy they found in the game, irrespective of the scores.

Rogue Angels and Court Queens brought further excitement to the evening, with Rogue Angels finishing the game at 13-8. Both teams demonstrated a splendid example of how to enjoy the game while focusing on skill development and maintaining a friendly club atmosphere.

The final match featured Star Hoops and Stratford Darlings, a game that concluded with Stratford Darlings accumulating a score of 37-9. The highlight of this match was clearly the shared enthusiasm and mutual respect between the players, perfectly reflecting our club spirit.

A special mention goes to Lucy White from Star Hoops, who was recognised as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her zealous movement around the court, coupled with her positive energy, was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike. Kudos to Lucy for her fantastic contribution!

As we turn our sights towards Week 9, we look forward to yet another evening of friendly social netball. It’s not just about keeping active and honing our skills, it's also about meeting new people and creating lasting memories in a supportive and welcoming environment.
