Stratford-upon-Avon Sunday Netball League – Week 5 Round-Up

Another fantastic evening of social netball took place on Sunday at Stratford Leisure Centre as teams gathered for Week 5 of the Stratford-upon-Avon Sunday Netball League, powered by You Play Netball.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was welcoming and energetic, with players of all abilities enjoying competitive matches, great teamwork, and plenty of community spirit.

Goal Diggers 22–6 Court Queens

The opening fixture saw Goal Diggers deliver an impressive performance, securing a 22-6 victory over Court Queens. Both teams demonstrated excellent teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship, setting a positive tone for the evening's action.

Stratford Darlings 21–12 Get The Rebound

Stratford Darlings continued their strong form with a 21-12 win against Get The Rebound. The match showcased plenty of determination and enthusiasm from both sides, with players displaying a great balance of competitive spirit and mutual respect.

Girls Of Glory 24–11 Star Hoops

Girls Of Glory produced an outstanding display to claim a 24-11 victory over Star Hoops. The game was packed with energy and passion, with both teams entertaining spectators through their commitment and positive attitude on court.

Golden Eagles 14–10 Rogue Angels

The final match of the evening saw Golden Eagles overcome Rogue Angels 14-10 in a closely contested encounter. The game highlighted everything social netball is about, with excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie shown by both teams.

MVP of the Week

A special congratulations goes to Clare Green of Star Hoops, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week.

Clare's enthusiasm, intelligent movement around the court, and positive influence on her teammates made her a standout performer. Her attitude and commitment perfectly embody the spirit of social netball—participation, enjoyment, and teamwork.

Looking Ahead

With Week 5 complete, attention now turns to Week 6. Teams in Division 1 are eager to return to the court for another evening of friendly competition, skill development, and social connection.

The Stratford-upon-Avon Sunday Netball League continues to prove that netball is about much more than winning—it's about staying active, meeting new people, and enjoying the game in a supportive and welcoming environment.
