It was another fun and energetic week in the Buxton Thursday Netball League, with plenty of great teamwork, determination and positive spirit on display across all the matches. Players gave it their all and supporters were treated to some exciting netball throughout the evening.
Buxton Ballers put in a strong all-round performance against No Bux Given, coming away with a 17-1 win. The Ballers worked brilliantly together in both attack and defence, showing great communication and confidence across the court. Despite the result, No Bux Given kept battling right until the final whistle.
In one of the closest games of the night, Pointer Sisters narrowly defeated the Buxton Babes 17-14 in an exciting and competitive match. Both teams played with great intensity and teamwork, making for a brilliant contest. A special mention goes to Buxton Babes player Jenna Cairns, who was named Player of the Week for her excellent movement, smart play and accurate shooting throughout the game.
Rock N Goal also enjoyed a successful evening with a 16-7 victory over Shooting Stars. Rock N Goal showed strong organisation and teamwork, while Shooting Stars continued to work hard and show great determination throughout the match.
The Buxton Thursday Netball League continues to be a fantastic showcase of local talent, teamwork and community spirit. With every team improving week by week, there’s plenty more exciting netball still to come.
