Buxton Thursday Social Netball Update 6th November

In a thrilling week of netball action in the Buxton Thursday Social League, the sides not only battled it out for crucial points but also for individual accolades. Tina Railton of the Buxton Ballers emerged as the stand-out performer, clinching the coveted "Most Valued Player of the Week" title.

Spring Into Action leapt ahead of the pack with a fine 10-4 victory over the Buxton Ballers. The Ballers may have lost the match, but Railton's outstanding performance earned her the week's top honour. Although Spring Into Action took the points with a smooth effective team performance credit must go to Buxton Ballers for their 100% effort throughout.

The Buxton Beauts lived up to their name, pulling off an impressive 11-3 victory over No Bux Given. The Beauts' strong offensive play was the highlight of the match and the result has seen the Beauts climb the league table, injecting an extra dose of enthusiasm into their camp. No Bux Given showed great potential and look like they are finding their feet and will surely be a team to be reckoned with in the coming weeks.

In another exhilarating match, the Pointer Sisters outperformed Rock N Goal in a tightly contested game, ending in a 10-6 victory for the Sisters. Although the teamwork and swift play by the Pointer sisters was they key to their victory, Jane Voss took the plaudits for Rock n Goal as her enthusiasm and determination earned her the player of the match nomination.
