In a thrilling week of sports competition, the Buxton Thursday Netball League saw some exhilarating matches, with teams battling it out in the League division. In the League, No Bux Given lived up to their name by giving no quarter to the Buxton Beauts, achieving a well-earned victory with a score of 19-15. Their tenacity and teamwork put them ahead in a hard-fought match that left everyone in awe.
However, the highlight of the night was the intense battle between the Pointer Sisters and Rock N Goal. Both teams demonstrated exceptional skills and a relentless will to win. The match ended in an 11-11 draw, a testament to the evenly matched talent and the persistent efforts of both teams.
Spring Into Action, despite their 4-22 loss to Buxton Ballers, had a shining star of their own, Steph Young. Despite the team's result, Young's exceptional skills and leadership on the court earned him the title of the Most Valued Player of the week. His ability to inspire his teammates and turn the tide of the game was truly commendable.
On the top scorers' list, No Bux Given came out on top in the League, their victory aided by strategic plays and unstoppable energy.
