In the heart of our charming community, St Francis of Assisi, an evening of warming camaraderie unfolded with Week 9 of the social netball season. With a welcoming atmosphere buzzing in the air, passionate players of all skill levels gathered for a delightful night of netball, embodying the true spirit of the game in every pass, movement, and shot.
Our first game saw the vibrant High Hoops face off against the enthusiastic Time To Shine. The game concluded with Time To Shine finishing with a score of 8-6, and High Hoops close behind. The game was marked by a commendable display of teamwork and sportsmanship, with positive energy radiating from both teams. It was an enjoyable match, played in great spirit that seemed to capture the essence of what our social netball evenings are about.
The second game was played between the diverse Aldridge Allsorts and the lively Sutton Ballers. The game ended with the Sutton Ballers scoring 13 goals, and the Aldridge Allsorts scoring 11. The commitment and cooperation of both teams were clear to see, and the game was a testament to their friendly competitive spirit and love for the game.
Lastly, we were privy to a close-fought match between Goal Getters and Flaming Divas, which ended in a 16-15 scoreline in favor of Goal Getters. The mutual respect and exemplary sportsmanship on display were heartwarming, and both teams brought a cheerful energy that was contagious to the spectators.
This week's Most Valued Player is Emily Coombs from Sutton Ballers. Emily's enthusiasm and movement around the court were awe-inspiring.
