What a magnificent Week 7 of the season it was at St Francis of Assisi! As the sun set this Sunday, our community came together for a friendly evening of social netball. The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, and players of all experience levels came together to participate in a fantastic night of the sport we all love.
The first match of the evening saw Step Aside engaging with Goal Getters on the court. The game ended with a scoreline of 18-8 in favor of Goal Getters. Both teams displayed an impressive level of teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the match. Each player committed to every pass, and the positive energy radiating from both sides was palpable. The spirit of the game was truly embodied in this match.
The second match had Sutton Ballers locking horns with Time To Shine. The final score stood at 23-10, favoring Time To Shine. Every pass, every move underlined the dedication of the players and their commitment towards their team. The camaraderie and enjoyment were evident in every moment and, indeed, it was a game played in excellent spirit.
An evening of netball would not be complete without a special mention to the most-valued player. This week, the honor goes to Carol Mendez from High Hoops. Carol's enthusiasm was infectious; her nimble movement around the court was appreciated by both teammates and opponents. Her contribution truly added to the positive vibe of the evening.
As we look forward to Week 8, we are excited about another evening of friendly social netball. We hope to see everyone back on the court, keeping active, meeting new people, and developing their netball skills in a supportive environment. Whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a netball for the first time, we welcome you to join us in this wonderful community tradition. Here's to the love of netball and the spirit of sportsmanship!
