What an evening it was! The 4th week of the friendly social netball season at St. Francis of Assisi brought together enthusiastic teams of varying experience levels. The evening was positively buzzing with energy, and delightful camaraderie filled the air. Every player, whether a seasoned professional or a beginner, was welcomed with open arms into an atmosphere that was a testament to the inclusive spirit of netball as a sport.
In the first match of the evening, High Hoops and Goal Getters showcased their teamwork on the court. Goal Getters finished the game with a score of 24 to High Hoops' 6. The game was played with an abundance of positivity and sportsmanship, setting a wonderful tone for the evening.
Next, Step Aside and Flaming Divas took to the court, putting on an energetic display of netball skills. In the end, the Flaming Divas ended the evening with a score of 16-9. Despite the score difference, the game was an enjoyable experience, highlighting the commitment and passion of the players.
Aldridge Allsorts and Time To Shine rounded off the matches. With Aldridge Allsorts scoring 5 and Time To Shine getting 18, the game was both exciting and spirited, celebrating the fun and social side of netball.
A special mention must be given to the Most Valued Player of the week, Charlotte Marklew from Aldridge Allsorts, whose enthusiasm and movement around the court didn’t go unnoticed. Her positive contribution was appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike, proving that it's not all about the score, but the spirit in which the game is played.
