Week 9 of the Canterbury Monday Netball League was full of laughter, teamwork, and some brilliant netball under the lights!

No Direction started the evening with a strong showing against Win Or Booze, finishing 16-3. While the score was impressive, the real highlight was the friendly energy and cheers from both teams, making every goal a moment to celebrate together.

High Hoops and Rowdy Rockets had a lively match, with the Rockets coming out 18-8 on top. Claire Frere from High Hoops earned this week’s Most Valued Player award for her amazing effort, agility, and positivity on the court—a true reminder that fun and sportsmanship go hand in hand with great play.

The Shooting Stars dazzled against Canterbury Hot Shots, winning 21-6. They really lived up to their name, but it was the teamwork, laughs, and high-fives that stole the show.

Week 9 proved why the Canterbury Monday Netball League is so special: it’s all about making friends, enjoying the game, and having a great night out on the court. No matter your experience, everyone is welcome to join in, share some laughs, and maybe even score a few goals!
