The Kettering Wednesday 7-a-side Netball League returned last night, kicking off an enjoyable Week 1 of the new season.

The evening featured several competitive and entertaining matches. Wingin It started the season strongly with a 29–7 win over Netspressos, showing excellent teamwork and coordination.

Hoop Troopers also had a good start, securing an 18–7 victory against the Jumping Divas, who put up a spirited fight throughout the match.

A close contest between Ghostbusters and Net Profits ended 8–7 in favour of Ghostbusters, while Court In The Act began the season with an 18–7 win over Hustlers, demonstrating steady play and focus.

The Vixens faced a 3–9 defeat against One Hoop Wonders, but Shannon Bowyer’s performance stood out, earning her the Most Valued Player of the week.

Week 1 of the league has set the tone for an engaging season ahead. With teams finding their rhythm and building momentum, there is plenty to look forward to in the upcoming fixtures of the Kettering Wednesday Netball League.
