A thrilling display of netball took place last night as week 2 of the Leicester Sunday Night Netball drew crowds and showcased some spectacular performances.
The first game of the night between Stealing Passes and Netchicks was a sight to behold. Both teams played with determination and grit, but Stealing Passes managed to get ahead, securing a 17-11 win over Netchicks.
There was an electrifying match between Brookside and Foxes, which ended in a nail-biting draw with both teams scoring 12 goals apiece. Despite the high stakes and intense pressure, both teams held their ground, demonstrating exceptional skill and teamwork.
However, the real surprise of the night was the match between Court Out and Goal Diggers. Court Out, despite their best efforts, could only manage to net four goals, while Goal Diggers scored 26 goals.
In the midst of this intense competition, one player stood out from the rest - Nikeeta Mehta from Netchicks. Despite her team's defeat, Mehta's remarkable performance earned her the title of 'Most Valued Player' for the week. Her agility, precision, and innate ability to read the game were nothing short of impressive.
As we move into week 3, the Leicester Sunday Netball continues to promise high-octane netball action. Each team, each player, and each goal scored only adds to the excitement and anticipation of what the rest of the season has in store.
