We had a thrilling series of matches in week five of the Leicester Sunday Netball season. There was an outstanding level of skill and determination from all the teams involved.
The most nail-biting match of the week was undoubtedly Foxes vs Netchicks. In a game where every goal mattered, the Netchicks narrowly edged past the Foxes, securing a 20-18 victory. The intensity and spirit displayed during the match is a testament to the competitive nature of the Sunday netball night.
The Goal Diggers put up an impressive performance against Brookside, scoring 21 points to Brookside's 5.
Court Out faced Stealing Passes in the final match of the night, with Stealing Passes emerging victorious with 17 points to Court Out's 12. Despite the loss, Court Out's Lauren Robbie stood out and was named the most valued player of the week, proving that individual brilliance can shine, even in defeat. Robbie's exceptional performance has certainly set the bar high for the rest of the season.
These exciting matches have set the tone for the rest of the season. The teams are pushing their limits and the scores are reflecting just that. As we head into week six of the season, the anticipation and eagerness are palpable.
