Week 2 Round-Up – Mansfield Wednesday Netball League

Week two of the Mansfield Wednesday Netball League brought another enjoyable evening of competitive and good-spirited matches, with teams continuing to find their rhythm and build confidence.

Nets Top Models put in a strong performance against Shooting Stars, earning an 11–8 win. Both teams showed great teamwork and determination, but Nets Top Models managed to edge ahead with some consistent shooting and composed play.

Stealing Passes delivered a confident display against High Hoops, securing a 10–3 victory. Their defensive organisation and steady movement across the court helped them control the game, while High Hoops kept battling throughout.

Black Panthers enjoyed a positive result against On Target, finishing with an 18–8 win. Their pace and accuracy in front of goal made the difference on the night, though both teams contributed to an entertaining contest.

A special mention goes to Evie Bart from On Target, who was named Most Valued Player of the Week. Despite her team’s result, Evie stood out with her energy, awareness and commitment on court, making a real impact throughout the game.

With two weeks now complete, the League is shaping up nicely, with plenty of encouraging performances and strong team spirit on show. As we head into week three, teams will be looking to build on their progress and continue enjoying their midweek netball.
