Oldham Monday Week 6 - 13/4/26

Just a quick reminder for all players:

If you have long nails, it’s your responsibility to bring and wear sports gloves to your game. Without them you won’t be able to take part in your fixture. This rule is in place to help keep everyone safe on court, so we really appreciate your cooperation! Thank you!

There was a lively and positive atmosphere at the Oldham Monday night netball league as Week 6 of the season took place, with teams continuing to grow in confidence and settle into their rhythm.

In our first closely contested match of the evening, Shots & Giggles secured a 7–5 win over Seven Heaven. Both teams demonstrated good communication and effort, with the game remaining competitive throughout and decided by small margins.

Time To Shine put in a strong and well-organised performance in their match against the Ballers, coming away with a 13–3 win. Their teamwork and consistency across the court helped them build a steady lead. The Ballers kept working hard throughout the game, showing great resilience and supporting each other until the final whistle.

A special mention goes to Shelley Greene from the Ballers, who was named Player of the Week. Despite the result, her all-round performance stood out, with her energy, movement, and awareness making a real impact for her team.

Elsewhere, Blue Lightning delivered a confident performance against Saddleworth Sirens, earning an 11–2 victory. Their structured play and teamwork allowed them to maintain control, while the Sirens continued to show determination and commitment across the court.

As the season progresses, it’s great to see all teams developing and supporting one another each week. The league continues to highlight not only skill and improvement, but also the strong sense of sportsmanship across the competition. With more matches ahead, there’s plenty still to look forward to as the teams head into the next round of fixtures.
